Wed, August 17, 2005 - 7:40 AMhello john, i saw in your profile that you have a link with the town of montory ? in the basque country, it is about at 80 miles from my home.
i know it a little. And i've some friends from Montory as well, Lhande family.
Their uncle was a famous priest, Pierre Lhande, one of the first writters about the basque emigration around the world.

Tue, November 15, 2005 - 1:34 PMHi
I realise it's a little late to post to this thread, but I just found it by accident using a completely unrelated google search.
It's just that I live in Montory. About half my time. I bought a house here in the centre of the village, with my wife Natasha, about 18 months agom after spending 6 or 7 summers in the Pays Basque "on holiday".
It's a great little souletine house, and life here is better than good.

Re: basque forum
Sun, November 20, 2005 - 9:24 AMAmazing I walk past it evertime I go for a drink, which I'll be doing shortly... We're a bit furhter up the hill on the left, the old Irigoyen/Etchegoyen house with the green shutters, and that desparately needs a new roof... hopefully Eric Etchgoyhen from Lacarry is going to put a new one on in Jan... hope the weather holds... went up Eretzu today it was 24C on the summit at 14:30...
And yes you should drop in some time... when are you usually here? I think, apart from the Mairie and La Post, we are still the only ones in the village with ADSL...!...so you may gravitate here anyway...:-)

Tue, August 16, 2005 - 5:12 PMKaixo,
It was great to meet you in person at Jaildi. I followed your link and signed up in French which I do not speak. So I thought I failed until I just tried it. I tried to listen to your radio show, but flailed around that site until I gave up. I will try again on Sept 7 when you host the show. Please provide a direct link and instruct us on how to hear the program. I appreciate the work you do as a global ambassador to the 8th province.
thanks....ikusi arte -
