I suppose you could broadly describe his music as Basque folk but don't let that put you off. A lot of his lyrics are about his country and culture and his songs are influenced by traditional Basque music. I know it's in no way new music but he's an essential starting point for anyone with an interest in Basque music. They are both rock groups. Little tidbit of info on Sutagar... They were destined for greatness and were going to sign with an American record company but they didnt want to sign in English like the record company wanted them too. A lot of people said that they were better then Metallica and that the drummer of Sutagar at one point was known that the worlds best drummer(bateria maja, que se dice bateria). But he lost the movement in his upper body after an unfortunate car accident. Other than that I dont know any basque music but I will be sure to ask the guys(dorks) over here.
